- Ed is not Green, even though he is green. Boo hoo.
- Temperature.
- We don’t censure each other for non-Pooh-related discussion, as we rather like it.
- James: “I used to think, as a child, that all fizzy drinks were made by mixing the appropriate juice with lemonade.”
- Jack: “That’s not too far from the truth.”
- Ed: “For coke, that’s cocaine and phosphoric acid, then.”

- CGM: “Jonathon Strange & Mr. Norrell [?sp.] had good footnotes. My mother enjoyed them too.”

- Jack: "Pastry is more subtle than dragons."
- CGM: "We should get undistracted so we can finish the minutes and get distracted again." 1-0-1-1. JV dragon.

- CGM: “Jewish holidays are mostly about when they tried to kill us but failed.”
