Minutes of the constitutionally somewhat dubious elevenses meeting of the Pembroke College Winnie-the-Pooh Society, held on a train on the up line between (just before) March and Ely at 16:04 on 2nd January 1999
In which we are on Crown Point based DMSL 52853 of Stanstead Airport bound, Central Trains operated, BREL Express class 158 diesel multiple unit 158 853
present: Andrew, Ben, Becky, a random bloke travelling to Stanstead Airport (he hopes) who keeps talking to us and probably should be included.
apologies: not necessary, out of term
- Ben lends Becky a pound sterling. She then joins PoohSoc, subject to her condition that we unmember (dismember?) her at the end of the meeting.
- We are now quorate, so Ben opens a meeting. We vote that we will unmember Becky at the end of the meeting.
- There is a pause in the meeting whilst we observe BREL type 5 Co-Co 58030, plus an assortment of 4 wheel timber and open wagons in the yard at March.
- We vote to allow Ben to embezzle (his own...) pound after we have unmembered Becky. F2 A0 Ab1
- We have no minutes to read yet, as Andrew's computer expired. We do have tea, from Peterborough station.
- Andrew extracts his copy of "The Hums of Pooh" from his bag. We read "The More it Snows", as this is to be performed in March Time, and we are just past March. (for anyone who is confused, March is a town between Peterborough and Ely).
- We vote to close F2 A0 Ab1. Becky is unmembered
