Minutes of the elevenses meeting of the Pembroke College Winnie-the-Pooh Society, held in room 20, 2 Selwyn Gardens, on Saturday 23 January 1999

Present: Michael, Andrew, Jeremy, Claire, Yasmin, Jenny, James, Belinda, Richard, Neil, "Mad" Jenny, Richard Boulton, Jon

Apologies: Kirsten, Ben, Anthony

1. The meeting is opened by Jenny, because we realise that constitutionally she can as I aren't here yet (?).
   


2. Yasmin's wooden frog is admired. It makes croaking noises when you rub it with a stick.
   


3. We have very nice Hunny Cake, cooked by Jenny with the new Selwyn Gardens ovens.
   


4. Jeremy has a go at reading the minutes. We help him with the big words.
   


5. Next week's Annual General Meeting will be at 18:00, in College, and be followed by Formal Hall.
   


6. BALLOONS! We inflate some balloons Mad-Jenny has brought. "Nobody can be uncheered with a balloon".
   


7. Jon arrives. "has anything happened yet?" he asks.
   


8. No.

13. We vote to thank Richard for his lovely cake. For (all of us except Richard) Against Richard, Abstentions none.
    


14. "In which Eeyore has a birthday and gets Two Presents".
    


15. Jon has exhausted the comedy potential of his balloon. He gets worried about what Andrew is minuting....
    


16. "We can't say anything with out it being written down". I must point out that this isn't strictly true... think of the Madingley Road meeting...
    


17. Yasmin was chased down Tennis Court Road by a group of boys. She now always walks along that route.
    


18. A cycling conversation. Jeremy suggests Jon cycles up some hills, despite the obvious problem.
    


19. Axe murderers.
    


20. Vote to close passed. Next week is the AGM.
